It is a privilege to work for a community that holds a special place in my own story. Around seven years of my formative education took place on this campus, and our own grown children later enjoyed their years as students here as well. Coming full circle, it is an honor to invest in the next generation in the very place where I developed so many of my own passions for life. My goal is to create an authentic, positive classroom environment where students learn to understand the “why” behind everything they discover, incorporating those lessons into their own lives so they can experience the deep value of serving others in a Christ-like way.

My path to education has been a diverse journey centered in service. Following high school, I pursued public service in emergency medicine, fire service, and mountain rescue. This desire to serve eventually led to fifteen years of self-employment within the fire safety industry, as well as a passion for managing local non-profit organizations. After steering my career toward education, I spent roughly thirteen years serving as an educator within the Wenatchee and Eastmont public school districts. However, the opportunity to return to my roots and teach in a Christ-centered environment is incredibly important to me.

I hold a Master of Science in Education specializing in experiential and outdoor education and I value the power of hands-on learning. My passion for mentorship extended to Union Adventist University, where I served as a professor and expedition coordinator, leading students to Malawi, Africa, for immersive field studies as part of their formal university education.

My wife, Amber, and I are grateful to be rooted in Wenatchee. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I love snow skiing, mountain biking, rock climbing, river rafting, and scuba diving, alongside a passion for history and world travel. I firmly believe in helping youth connect with their Creator through His “first book”—nature—and I am incredibly grateful to serve the CCA community.
