“My name is Dania, and I am a native Spanish speaker with fluency in three languages, aspiring to learn a fourth. I have a deep curiosity and passion for languages, diverse cultures, and for understanding how global systems work and interact. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the University of Oregon, along with a Second Language Acquisition and Teaching Certificate. During my undergraduate studies in Eugene, Oregon, I interned as a first-grade French teacher and studied abroad in Poitiers, France. This experience sparked my interest in international development, leading me to pursue a Master of Science in Community and International Development from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. After years in hospitality, God led me to Wenatchee, where I now teach the beautiful language of Spanish. In addition to teaching, I am a wife and a grant writer for a nonprofit that seeks to strengthen the social, political, and economic future of Latinos and other underrepresented groups in Lane County, Oregon. Other interests include hiking, backpacking, snowboarding, climbing, community engagement, gardening, and youth ministry.
