Cheryl Gabel grew up in northern Idaho and eastern Washington with her parents and younger brother. She began piano lessons at age five and directed her first musical (with a cast of two!) as an eighth grader. Playing trombone in band and brass quintet at Upper Columbia Academy inspired her to pursue a career in music education.

Mrs. Gabel graduated with a B. Mus. in Music Education from Southern Adventist University in 2008 and then spent five years teaching instrumental music in the Lewiston, Idaho school district.  She began teaching at Cascade Christian Academy in 2013 and loves being part of the CCA family.

Mrs. Gabel is passionate about being active outdoors. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, biking, canoeing, and paddleboarding, especially when joined by her husband. She also likes to try new recipes, play music, and learn new things.
