Since joining Cascade Christian Academy in 7th grade, Adaleyne (Ady) Hetterle has made her mark through hard work, joy, and a heart open to learning and growth.
Ady’s favorite class throughout school was English, a subject that came naturally to her and allowed her to express herself creatively. She also found inspiration and encouragement from several teachers who made a lasting difference in her life. Mr. Pepple, her math teacher, reminded her that a smile can always make your day better, while Mr. Johnson’s encouragement gave her the confidence to step out of her comfort zone and try new things—including sports, which became an important part of her high school experience.
One of her proudest academic moments came in Biology, when she earned 100% plus extra credit on multiple labs—a reflection of her dedication and curiosity. Spiritually, her time at CCA deepened her understanding of God’s love, especially through experiences like Bible Camp 2025, which she describes as deeply impactful due to the powerful sermons and the many baptisms.
Her advice for younger students is heartfelt and simple: “Listen to Jesus—He knows what you are going through.” A verse that has stayed with her is 1 John 2:28–29, which reminds believers to remain steadfast and confident in Christ’s righteousness.
Ady’s high school years were filled with meaningful memories and strong relationships. She cherishes taking pictures at the lake during a backpacking trip and the close-knit, family-like atmosphere created by Coach Felicia and Coach Hansen, who made every sport feel like a shared celebration. Over the years, Ady has been involved in volleyball, basketball, and track, as well as yearbook and bells—activities that have helped her grow as both a teammate and a leader.
When asked about a unique skill she discovered, Ady humbly shared that she’s “coachable and teachable,” traits that have served her well in both athletics and life. After graduation, she plans to attend Wenatchee Valley College to pursue a career in firefighting—a path that reflects her courage, discipline, and desire to serve others. As she looks to the future, Ady’s most excited about having more free time and enjoying new adventures while still staying connected to CCA by supporting her friends at their games and graduations.
