My journey into accounting began at Auburn Adventist Academy. Taking my very first
class, I was immediately intrigued and certain I had found my career. That passion for
financial order was fueled further during my freshman year at Walla Walla College by a
fantastic professor. I went on to graduate with a BA in Business/Accounting from Seattle
Pacific University in December 1989 and dove straight into the world of public
accounting.
Life moved quickly from there; my husband, Greg, and I were married in April 1990, and
we began our lives together in Western Washington. In 1992, following the birth of our
first child, I transitioned to working for myself from a home office, a venture that grew
right alongside our family as we quickly welcomed three children. We relocated to
Wenatchee in 1997, and a few years later, with the immense support of my family and a
lot of studying, I passed the exam to officially become a Certified Public Accountant.
My accounting career has spanned everything from an international firm in Seattle to
small practices in Tacoma and Wenatchee. Joining CCA as the Vice Principal for
Finance in January 2010 has been an incredibly rewarding chapter. A personal highlight
has been watching all three of our children graduate from CCA, thriving in a well-
rounded environment shaped by so many beloved teachers. It was also a joy to work
alongside Greg, who retired after 14 years at CCA pouring into students as a teacher of
PE, History, Industrial Arts, and as the Athletic Director.
CCA has truly provided a life-changing home for our entire family. I consider myself
deeply blessed to have served alongside such a devoted faculty, working together to
Educate Kids to LIVE for Him with Love, Integrity, Virtue, and Excellence.
