In the spring of 2009, I had several conversations with God in which He impressed upon me His Plan for my life. What an incredible gift I have received in His Plan. Throughout my life, I have had many jobs of all kinds. What I do now, every day at CCA, isn’t a job. Morning after morning, I thank God for directing me to my passion. I LOVE MY WORK AT CCA!!!!
Realizing my dream of becoming an educator became a reality in June 1997. I marched down the grassy path at Walla Walla College to receive my BS in Elementary Education. At that time, I also received minors in both Health and Early Childhood Education.
After this accomplishment, I moved to Seattle and taught at Burien SDA Elementary for 8 years. During this time, I had an inspiring mentor who believed in me and God’s Plan for me. I began working on my MAT in Administration Leadership in 2000 and completed it in 2005. While in Seattle, I taught grades 1-3, K-2, then 3-5, and finally some 6th-8th grade classes.
From Seattle my family and I moved north to Burlington where I taught 6th grade part-time and was Vice-Principal of the K-12 school, Skagit Adventist School.
As I mentioned before, in the spring of 2009 God’s Plan continued and I accepted my dream “job” to be the principal at PCA. Then in the summer of 2012, God moved us to the beautiful Wenatchee Valley where we felt so welcomed. I am blessed to have a wonderful staff that are committed to Jesus Christ and the call He has given each of them in their lives too. Every day is a gift from God no matter how stressful, hectic, or crazy the day may seem. Knowing God is in control of everything and that He will provide – what could be better!
My husband, Tim, and I were married over Spring Break in 2004. He is an amazing support, and I am blessed to be married to my best friend. We have 4 fantastic children who keep us on our toes, praising God, and of course on our knees asking for direction!
