Hello! I’m Monique Simpson, and I am so excited to be part of the Cascade Christian Academy family! Teaching has been my passion for the past 16 years, with most of my experience in Kindergarten and First Grade. I love creating a classroom where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn through hands-on activities, creativity, and meaningful relationships.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Washington Adventist University, where I completed a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I later earned my master’s degree in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Elementary Education from Marist University. I also completed my Kindergarten and Early Childhood Endorsements through Southern Adventist University in Tennessee. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping each child discover their unique gifts and develop a lifelong love of learning.
I was born in South Africa, and my family immigrated to Ohio when I was young. Growing up in two different countries gave me a deep appreciation for new experiences, different cultures, and the importance of community. Recently, I moved to be closer to my parents and brother. Being close to my family has been a wonderful blessing, and I love spending time with them, whether we’re sharing a meal, exploring a new place, or simply enjoying each other’s company.
When I’m not at school, I enjoy traveling, reading, crafting, trying new tea shops, and adventuring out to locally sponsored events. I especially enjoy creative projects and believe that a little imagination—and sometimes a little mess—can make learning unforgettable!
I feel incredibly blessed to teach at Cascade Christian Academy and look forward to partnering with families to help each child grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment.
