I grew up with my Dad being a very dedicated teacher, so education has always been a big part of my life. During the summers, my family would host exchange students from Vietnam, China, and Japan who were eager to learn English. I helped them with their language skills, and through that, I learned just how rewarding teaching can be. It also helped me appreciate how important communication is, not just for learning, but for connecting with people from different backgrounds.

I went on to study at Walla Walla University, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. This combination of studies deepened my understanding of how every student has unique learning needs, and the importance of making education meaningful for all. Now, I’m excited to be in the classroom, helping students grow and succeed!
