Ever since I was little, I’ve dreamed of being a teacher. My 1st-grade teacher was amazing, and I knew I wanted to be just like her. I went to Mid Columbia Adventist School in Hood River, Oregon, for 1st and 2nd grade, but then my parents decided to homeschool my siblings and me. I really missed school, so I attended Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, WA, for high school.
Throughout middle and high school, I babysat and helped with 25 Vacation Bible School (VBS) programs and the Adventurer Club at the Upper Columbia Academy Church. These experiences solidified my passion for teaching and working with children. After high school, I went to Walla Walla University to study Elementary Education and minored in Spanish. I took a gap year in Sagunto, Spain, with the Adventist Colleges Abroad program. This experience broadened my horizons and deepened my commitment to education.
I feel so blessed to have my job at CCA, and I’m thrilled to finally be in the classroom, helping students grow and succeed. It’s a joy to be part of this wonderful community and to make a positive impact on our students’ lives.
