Born and raised in the Wenatchee Valley, I attended Cascade Christian Academy all the way from kindergarten to high school graduation. Vicki Downer served as the high school English teacher during my time at CCA and instilled in me a love of literature and creative writing. While working full-time to put myself through school, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Arizona State University and an online certificate in Digital Humanities from Harvard University.

Since graduating from college, I have moved through various marketing and editorial positions. From Social Media Manager to TV Crime & Business Reporter/Producer, each position has allowed me to draw on different facets of my English degree and develop new skills. However, I have also pursued entrepreneurial outlets throughout my career. In 2025, I published a novel titled The Amulet of Undoing and launched Most Ardently Magazine, a monthly Christian magazine for women.

Throughout the evolution of my career, my faith and family have kept me grounded. My husband and I met in 2020 and have now been married for three years. Together, we parent a very energetic corgi and work to keep God at the center of our lives.

I’m looking forward to joining the CCA team as the high school English teacher this year. To give back to the school that gave so much to me is such an exciting opportunity and truly displays the wonderful way that God’s plan pans out. I can’t wait to pass on my love of literature to new generations of students, as well as support them in their walk with the Lord.
